I brought my mountain bike in today to have the staff check a few safety issues and they got me worked into their obviously busy day. I appreciate their help. It's so good to know we have this gem in Louisville!
In May of this year I bought another road bike and I know that LVC will take great care of me and my awesome ride for many years to come. This is one of the best bike shops in Colorado and you should check them out when you are in town. Oh and they are excellent in handling “in ride repairs” when you are riding close by and have a mechanical issue. Also they have free bottled water for all of their patrons.
My relationship with Louisville Cyclery goes back over 30 years. The reason I have been a customer for that long is that I always have a positive experience. Everyone there is very friendly, knowledgeable and responsive to questions. I have also gotten great advice when I didn't know the right question to ask. I get great service and the selection of bikes and accessories is always very good. Show me any business that has been successful for that long and I will show you a business that takes care of customer needs and works to have relationships with their customers that insure the customer will come back.

Went in for disc brake pads today. The gentleman grabbed a pair for me, but wasn't apt to discuss any pad options. They were priced at $20, so I mentioned that I was going to compare to online prices real quick. He said that his price would be higher, and I shared my appreciation for local shops and willingness to pay a little more. The online prices came in at $7 from numerous well known retailers (rei, backcounyry, etc.) I shared this and he seemed bewildered that I wasn't ready to spend 300% of the online price. I politely shared that I wanted them, but that I would be a fool to pay $20. He didn't care and shewed me off. Sad to see local shops carry so much conceit.
I went in looking for help about a rear hub that I've been having issues with and the employee I talked to was great and helped me get what I needed to fix the problem I was having. On top of that this shop has a great atmosphere! This is my new go to place for bikes.
I have been a customer of LVC since 2001 when I bought my 1st road bike. They were amazing in getting me fit for the bike and showing me how the great worked and how to do basic cleaning and maintenance. LVC serviced my bike for the last 16 years and my wife’s road bike for the last 6 years.
