Bittersweet is a favorite spot of mine. I frequent Bittersweet with co-workers and we always find our visit to be a reward. The atmosphere is cozy and the room filled with wonderful aromas and our taste buds always leave satisfied! The staff is always friendly and a pleasure to talk with!

In winter the place is cozy and in summer there is outside seating on main st. At popular times the queue can be long and not move as fast as large chain coffee houses, but it is worth the wait.

Source: I used to work here and I live nearby so I frequent the area for studying or quick bite fairly often

Tip: their sister restaurant, pôr wine house and Bar, has amazing Brie and a wonderful meat and cheese platter.

The pastry chef is awesome creating many tasty treats alongside savoury options. I especially recommend the white chocolate raspberry scones.

Greeting with a warm smile, received a great recommendation on a green tea, and had a very pleasant visit. A nice homey and contemporary vibe. I would suggest you drop by--if it was only warmer when I was there, I would have thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor seating!

A quaint local coffeehouse with gorgeous (and delicious) pastries, including gluten free. Local musicians provide a fun ambiance most weekends.

I love their sandwiches, their chai tea, and their sweets! My favorites are Chocolate Oblivion, eclairs, cheesecake, cake slice of the day, and the cinnamon rolls. Sometimes their cakes slices tend to be a little hard and stale, as well as their brownies and cookies, but there's always something that you can find that is fresh to enjoy nevertheless. The chocolate Oblivion and the cheesecake always taste good and the pastries in the baskets above the cooler are usually baked fresh in the morning too so you can't go wrong with them. And if you aren't craving sweets, their soups, salads, and sandwiches are always fresh.

The coffee here is amazing! My favorites are the Rwandan and Ethiopian blends either as drip or even better as a pour over, they offer a wide variety of choices. Their espresso based options are also great with good consistency, ratio of milk to espresso, and latte art.
